Another Dixon's Sound Choice's Artisan Snare, with a hybrid of woods: Bird eye Maple & Bubinga.

Bird Eye Maple is a type of wood best described as Hard Maple and it is a very expensive wood, up to several times cost of an ordinary hardwood. With Bubinga wood, another hard tropical timber, predominantly straight interlocking grain that widely chosen for its distinctive good looks as well as it brighter response. Yet due to its density, Bubinga maintains balanced resonance throughout all ranges of tuning and has an underlying richness and depth of tone that makes it a popular choice!
